Paper Button Options

Specifying paper size, registration marks, and scaling is done in the Paper button section of the Print dialog box.

It is important to make the paper width and height one inch larger than your document size in order to fit the registration marks and page information on the page.

Options Button Selections

Your Print Options Dialog should match the example at the left.

Image Data should be sent as "Normal" and Encoding should be Binary.

Be sure to always write your Postscript to a file when making a PDF to be printed with us.

Choose a Destination for your File

You can rename your postscript document to something that is easily recognizable to you.

I prefer to save my postscript file on the desktop to keep things simple.

Once you've done this click OK to return to Pagemakers Print dialog window.

Color Button Options

You can either make us a composite PDF file or a pre-seperated one. Click the Composite radio button to produce a composite file.

Alternatively, you can choose Separations if you would rather view the separations individually in the PDF file. This will give you a separate page for each color plate in the PDF.

Print Features

The print features window is determined by the PPD you are using. When using our PPD file your window should match this example.

At this point you can click Save to create your postscript file.

Once this is done you are ready to "Distill" the postscript file you've created.
